From the Field to the Frame
My name is TJ Ward, and the outdoors has been my home my entire adult life.
I spent my career as a Scout in the United States Army — a role that took me through some of the most rugged and beautiful landscapes imaginable. As a Scout, you learn to observe everything: the way light moves through a tree line at dawn, the stillness of a marsh before the world wakes up, the drama of a storm rolling in off the coast. You learn to see what others walk past.
When I retired from the Army, I didn't leave the outdoors behind. I took those same eyes — trained to notice the details — and I picked up a camera.
Sharing What I See
East to West Outdoor Photography was born from a simple desire: to share the beauty I've been lucky enough to witness with everyone else. Every photograph in this store is a moment I lived — a sunrise over a coastal marsh, a lighthouse standing watch through a storm, a pier glowing gold at the end of a long day.
These aren't stock images. They're places I've stood, mornings I've woken up early for, and scenes that stopped me in my tracks.
I print each piece on gallery-quality stretched canvas because I believe these images deserve to be seen the way I saw them — large, vivid, and full of life.
Giving Back
Service doesn't end when you take off the uniform. I'm proud to take Wounded Warriors fishing through various organizations, giving back to the men and women who've sacrificed so much. Time in nature heals — I've seen it firsthand.
